BeiLuo supplies genuine NOVOSENSE digital isolators, the devices that pass a digital signal across an isolation barrier to protect a low-voltage controller from a high-voltage or noisy domain. NOVOSENSE builds its isolators on a capacitive isolation barrier with a radio-frequency carrier and an on-off-keying modulation, which gives a high noise immunity, a low radiated emission and a high common-mode transient immunity, so a signal crosses the barrier cleanly even when the grounds move. The family spans two-channel, four-channel and multi-channel devices with data rates up to 150 Mbps and isolation ratings from about 3 kVrms to 8 kVrms, and several parts integrate an isolated DC-DC converter that also carries power across the barrier, which removes a separate isolated supply. The devices are available in small SOIC and SOW packages, so they fit a dense board, and the automotive-grade parts are qualified to AEC-Q100 for an under-hood design.
