A Bench Built for Isolation and Sensing
Applying an isolator, an isolated amplifier or a current sensor correctly is as important as choosing the right part, and because the performance depends on the layout across the barrier, the creepage and the common-mode step, the integration decides whether the isolation holds and the signal stays clean. To support customers more effectively, BeiLuo has opened an FAE verification bench dedicated to NOVOSENSE Microelectronics isolators, amplifiers, gate drivers and current sensors. The bench lets our engineers measure the isolation, the common-mode transient immunity and the current-sense accuracy before a customer commits to a design, turning advice into evidence.
The bench complements the stock program announced in July. Where the stocking program answers the question of whether a part is available, the new bench answers the question of whether the part will perform in a specific application. Together they let BeiLuo support a design from selection through validation, rather than only at the point of sale.
What We Measure
The bench is equipped with a high-bandwidth oscilloscope with a high-voltage differential probe, a function generator for the common-mode step, a precision source and meter for the current sense, a thermal chamber and a hipot tester. Engineers measure the data integrity of an isolator at the worst-case rate and common-mode step, the current-sense accuracy of an isolated amplifier across the range and the temperature, the gate waveform of an isolated gate driver and the isolation with a hipot test at the rated voltage.
Isolation and CMTI
A high-voltage differential probe and a function generator impose a controlled common-mode step on the barrier, so the bench can find the rate at which the data becomes corrupted and confirm the margin against the application. A hipot test at the rated voltage confirms the isolation and the creepage on the real board, which turns an isolation question into a measured answer.
Current-Sense Accuracy
A precision source and meter compare the output of an isolated amplifier or a current sensor against a reference current across the range and the temperature, so the bench can confirm the accuracy and the gain and show whether the layout or the shunt needs a change. It also checks the rejection of the switching transient on a current sense amplifier.
From Selection to Validation
When a customer asks which device suits their design, our FAE team can now validate the recommendation on the bench. We measure the isolation and the CMTI, or the current-sense accuracy, or the gate waveform, compare the result with the datasheet expectation and confirm the margin. The result is a design path backed by measured data, which reduces the risk of a late-stage surprise and shortens the path to a reliable design.
Layout and Barrier Validation
The bench can bring up a customer's board and confirm the isolation across the barrier, the creepage and the decoupling on each side, and the data integrity under a common-mode step. That turns a layout question into a measured answer and supports a design that passes the standard on the first attempt.
Supporting a Design End to End
The bench is a support tool, not a test house, and it is strongest when used early. A typical engagement starts with a selection question, moves to a bench check of the chosen device under the customer's conditions, and ends with a validated recommendation for the part and the layout. Because BeiLuo holds the devices in regional stock, the validated part can then move quickly to a sample and a production order.
How to Use the Bench
Customers can request a bench evaluation by sending the signal or the current they must isolate, the voltage, the data rate and the environment to the BeiLuo team. Our engineers will set up the test, measure the key parameters and share the results with a design recommendation. Because the bench and the stock program work together, a customer can validate a device on the bench and then hold production stock within the same week. The bench is one more reason to treat BeiLuo as a technical partner for NOVOSENSE devices rather than a simple parts supplier.
Results are shared as a short report with the measured isolation, CMTI and accuracy, so the design team can keep the evidence with the design file and compare a later revision against it.
